FREDERICK —-The 21-year-old Walkersville man who died Sunday while performing motorcycle stunts along U.S. 340 was wearing a helmet, T-shirt, socks and shoes, but no pants or underwear, according to authorities. — https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/threads/an-updated-article-on-the-stunter-that-died.14463/
In September 2004, a motorcyclist named Shaun P. Matlock (age about 21) died in a crash near Frederick, Maryland. He was apparently performing a stunt (a wheelie) when he lost control and struck a parked tow truck.
Matlock was riding “partially clad” (just a t-shirt and shoes) at the time.
The stickers on his bike and helmet bore the words “Holding It Big”, which was a company promoting extreme sports / stunts, connected to Meacham.
Ben Meacham (then about 22 or 23) was apparently filming the stunts for Holding It Big.
After the crash, authorities recovered a videotape from Meacham. But Meacham reportedly told them he had erased the portion showing the crash or stunts.
Prosecutors considered charging Meacham with destroying evidence, but ultimately declined because proving the erasure was difficult and whether a crime had been committed was unclear.
Later, Meacham was convicted of misdemeanor reckless and negligent driving in relation to that stunt death. A judge held that the act of filming contributed to the danger.

NUDE RIDER DIES DOING STUNT It’s no wonder that motorcycle fatality statistics are on the increase when you consider the rising popularity of “extreme” streetriding, with sport bike riders performing wheelies, stoppies and other highspeed antics on public roadways, often hot-dogging for the camera. Holding It Big Entertainment specializes in filming such street stunts, but the company president (Ben Meacham) is now facing charges of reckless endangerment and negligent driving stemming from a rider’s fatal wheelie. On Sept 12, 21-year-old Shaun P. Matlock of Frederick, MD died when he was performing a wheelie, riding without pants, and crashed into a tow truck parked on US 340.
Matlock’s bike and helmet bore logos reading “Holding It Big”, and the president of the Baltimore-based company, Benjamin M. Meacham, 22, of Frederick, was allegedly driving in a nearby vehicle videotaping the fatal ride, and then later erased the tape before police could confiscate it. He was charged under a provision stating that anyone who induces, causes, coerces, permits or directs another person to commit a traffic violation also is guilty of the violation, Frederick County State’s Attorney Scott Rolle said.
Another bare-bottomed rider, Brandon M. Edwards, 21, of Ijamsville, who also wa sallegedly doing wheelies for the camera, was charged Sept. 20 with reckless driving, negligent driving, driving on a learner’s permit without the required supervision, and indecent exposure.
Trooper David Ward, who investigated the case, said the only explanation he has heard for the lack of pants was “they wanted to do something they didn’t think anybody had done before.”
